Pennsylvania Dutch Butter Flavored Popcorn
$4.50
The name says it all! An incredibly tasty and old heirloom popcorn maintained by the Amish in Pennsylvania for generations- so flavourful it hardly needs any toppings. 7’-8’ plants are very productive and vigorous though requiring a full growing season for us (mid-May to the end of October field harvest). When the husks turn yellow and the kernels begin to dry down, pick & shuck the cobs and hang them indoors to finish drying. For popping make sure the kernels are completely dry – we spread the kernels on trays near our woodstove (after shelling them off of the cobs) in early winter before storing in jars.
